We're All Weird! A Social and Emotional Learning Program
We're All Weird! was created by Kristen Heath with the original intention of teaching children the importance of tolerance, acceptance, and kindness. The book quickly became a fun tool for teachers, school counselors, and social workers to guide students through social and emotional learning lessons.

Our main goal is to provide an easy and fun way to help children acquire the capacity to understand, experience, express, and manage emotions and to develop meaningful relationships with others. By teaching inner and outer acceptance, the expectation is for students to come mindful of their differences and flaws and rethink them as perfectly unique.

Understanding social cues, as well as learning how to react to other people's words and judgements can be a challenge for children. We focus on helping kids process the emotions of being bullied and instill the importance of practicing kindness and inclusion.

Dealing with big emotions during childhood years is difficult because kids don't always have the tools to process those feelings, so they oftentimes become overwhelmed or angry. We provide mindfulness activities and tools so children can learn to manage their emotions in a healthy way.

Our book is filled with characters of all sizes, ethnicities, capabilities, and ages making it easy for children to find someone they can relate to physically or emotionally. We playfully point out all of our differences to show students just how unique and special each one of them are.

We provide a discounted rate to schools and nonprofit organizations so they can provide individual copies for each student to take home. The best part? Each book is personally signed by the author and includes an encouraging message for each student.

With each order placed by a school or nonprofit, author Kristen Heath travels to your school and visits each classroom during students reading time. Not only do students participate in a live author reading, but she discusses the process of writing a book, and answers all of their questions. Each reading ends with a *Weird, Wacky Dance Party* where students can physically express themselves and let loose, driving home the message of individuality.
